Japanese Face Massage

'A Natural Face Lift'

The Japanese believe that beauty is more than skin deep and to be beautiful you have to be healthy too.  The fantastic thing about Tsuboki Japanese face massage is that it works on many levels at the same time, from the inside and the outside.

Using anma and acupressure techniques, this massage affects the deep and superficial muscles of the face, reduces the development of wrinkles, improves the appearance of the skin and encourages the elimination of metabolic waste products.  These techniques can help to prevent lines, wrinkles and puffiness - a natural facelift !

What does it involve ?

Your first appointment will begin with a consultation during which I will ask you about your current health, medical history and emotional well-being.  All details are held in the strictest of confidence.  The treatment will last 50 minutes and is carried out while you are reclining on a massage couch, covered with warm soft towels and soothing background music is played to help you feel relaxed. The massage comprises of four specific stages:

  • Massage to the neck & shoulders to increase circulation to the face and reduce tension.

  • Anma - detailed finger massage to the facial muscles, around eyes, ears and nose.

  • Stimulation of acupressure points and gentle stroking of the meridians.

  • Lymphatic drainage to encourage release of fluid and toxins.

For this massage I use an Aromatherapy blend of Peach kernel oil, a light carrier oil rich in vitamins, with Rose essential oil, good for mature and sensitive skins, broken capillaries and wrinkles.

How will I feel after a treatment ?

Clients report feeling deeply relaxed during the treatment but very soon afterwards, energised and revitalised.
